St. Patrick's Day!

Better late than never, right? Well, I finally got my pictures back today (took a WEEK to be developed!) and there are definitely some funny ones in here! Up until 3 or 4 years ago I had never really celebrated St. Patrick's Day. My family never did anything for the holiday, so I really never thought it was a big deal. Until I met Rickey. Then I found out that St. Patrick's Day is some insane day where you wake up early and start drinking, hang out, go to a parade and usually (for me at least) fall asleep by 4 p.m. It's a pretty cool holiday!
We started out at a friend's house. We had a big pot luck style breakfast--I made the green cinnamon rolls. And hung out around their house until it was time to walk down to the parade.
There were about a billion people there so meeting up with other friends turned out to be pretty tough. But after several phone calls, a 30 minute bathroom wait and a few blocks later we finally tracked everyone down and continued with the celebration.
We finally ended the festivities in another friend's back yard (where I totally zonked out!) It was a good day.

Do you guys celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
And is it a crazy, big deal where you're from?

30 days of lists: part 4

Slowly, but surely I am working my way through the 30 days of lists project.

I know I've said this before and I'll say it again. I love that Etsy creators thought of the appreciation photo feature! It's so neat to see a happy customer enjoying your product and how they make the item their own. So I want to offer anyone who submits one of these photos to me a discount off of their next purchase and a spot in a photo round up post.
This is the Sentimental Heart Dress and is one of my all time favorite finds! I love the soft colors and it has the cutest little collar! You can check out Arielle's blog here!
On the left is my first ever appreciation photo! On the right is the Drifter's Escape Dress worn by another St. Louis lady! She even has her own Etsy shop called Fable & Lore where she sells super cute fabric jewelry.
This is my good friend Lindsey wearing the Pin Print Dress, which is another cutie! This one was even more fun because Lindsey told me what she would like to change about the dress and I altered it for her.

All you have to do is submit an appreciation photo or a link to your blog, facebook, wherever you've featured the item and I'd love to include you in another one of these fun posts!
Thanks to all who have shared their purchases with me!
I hope to see more in the future!

30 days of lists part 3

Once again I am super behind on my 30 days of lists project, but here are lists 9-12.

Even though I can't seem to keep up with this project I am still really enjoying it. I think I may continue these lists on my own after the 30 days is up. We'll see.

the shop right now.

So this is what my shop looks like right now. I'm in the middle of adding a bunch of new stuff and really hoping to clear some of the older stuff out! Everything looks a little funny right now with all of the different sizes of the thumbnails, but I'm starting to get the hang of editing this new style. So, I'd really love your opinion--do you guys like the cut-out white background? Or do you think an actual background (like in older photos)(or even the other photos of these new items) looks better? I'd really appreciate your feedback! Thank you!!

Style Icon: Volume III

Charlotte Gainsbourg
Beautiful French actress and singer-songwriter is one of those lucky ladies what always has that effortlessly cool look. She has the most perfect long, messy hair and is often seen wearing jeans and t-shirts, without having a dull, boring look. She can also frequently be seen in sophisticated solid classic styles.
Not only is she gorgeous, but she is a great actress and has worked with some of the coolest people! She was born to actress Jane Birkin and musician Serge Gainsbourg and has been a muse for Balenciaga. Her latest album, IRM was created with help from Beck. Gainsbourg has also worked with incredible directors like Michel Gondry, Alejandro González Iñárritu and her own husband Yvan Attal. She has also worked with some of my favorite actors Heath Ledger, Gael Garcia Bernal and Sean Penn to name a few.

Office Space

After having to move back home and back into the basement last fall I haven't had any kind of inspirational workspace whatsoever. So, for the last few months (more now than ever with the weather getting nicer) I've been dreaming of beautiful craft spaces.
I LOVE all of these organized minimalist spaces. That is something that I would love to have, but probably could never keep up with. But I know that I would love to have... bright, natural light, along with windows! peg board, coordinating containers, a BIG desk, (maybe) a chalkboard, a place to pin up inspirational pictures and a desktop computer! Hopefully it won't take too long before Rickey and I save up and get everything together to work on moving out once again.

shop update?

It's been quite a while since any new pieces have hit the shop, but they're about to soon! Here is a preview of some of the stuff I'll be adding tomorrow evening. I was hoping to start tonight, but editing these pictures has taken FOREVER! Sorry about how funny these look with the weird sizing, I'm still working that stuff out, but for now take a peek!!

30 days of lists part 2

I am pretty far behind in the 30 days of lists project, but I'd still like to share what I have finished. So here are lists 5 through 8...
