St. Patrick's Day!

Happy belated St. Patrick's Day! I hope you all had a fun and festive day if you're into it. My day started at 8 am with some Irish music and beer while getting ready. We headed to a friend's house and then to the parade. It was surprisingly easy to meet up with friends at the parade, everyone was pretty excited to see each other, as you can tell above.

After the parade everyone came back to our house. Since we started drinking at 8 am most of us were pretty worn out, which lead to Chinese food, iPhone games and a few hours worth of How I Met Your Mother and The X-Files on Netflix. I'd say it was a pretty good day. How was yours?

You can't really see in the pictures, but I wore this outfit minus the tights plus my green flats and green Coach bag, which may be every green thing I own.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Somehow Rickey managed to be off work tonight. So as soon as I'm off work we'll be off to do some Valentine's celebrating doing I don't know what, but I'm excited! I hope you all have a lovely day!

St. Patrick's Day!

Better late than never, right? Well, I finally got my pictures back today (took a WEEK to be developed!) and there are definitely some funny ones in here! Up until 3 or 4 years ago I had never really celebrated St. Patrick's Day. My family never did anything for the holiday, so I really never thought it was a big deal. Until I met Rickey. Then I found out that St. Patrick's Day is some insane day where you wake up early and start drinking, hang out, go to a parade and usually (for me at least) fall asleep by 4 p.m. It's a pretty cool holiday!
We started out at a friend's house. We had a big pot luck style breakfast--I made the green cinnamon rolls. And hung out around their house until it was time to walk down to the parade.
There were about a billion people there so meeting up with other friends turned out to be pretty tough. But after several phone calls, a 30 minute bathroom wait and a few blocks later we finally tracked everyone down and continued with the celebration.
We finally ended the festivities in another friend's back yard (where I totally zonked out!) It was a good day.

Do you guys celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
And is it a crazy, big deal where you're from?

Black and White and Red All Over

So what's it been, about 20 years since my last outfit post??! Even though these pictures kind of stink and are filled with funny looking faces I thought I should still share. This is what I wore for Valentine's Day.
I had been looking forward the day and whatever Rickey's surprise plans were. So we started with these photos, then he said we'd go walk around the loop and grab a drink somewhere before our dinner reservation. Once we made our way down there he suggests we check out the rooftop bar at the Moonrise Hotel which just that was exciting enough! On our way in he says 'Oh I guess we'll just bring our bags in later' all I could say was 'WHAT? We're staying HERE??' It was so nice! We went to dinner at a nice little Italian place called LoRusso's that was delicious and headed back to the hotel for wine and chocolate strawberries.

New Years Eve

I'll admit right away that this New Years was not my favorite. We spent the majority of the night driving around waiting to hear what was going on. The friends we were talking to must have changed their minds at least 1,000 times throughout the course of the night. And what was the worst was that Rickey turned 21 only two days later, so we JUST missed all of the bar parties. After multiple stops we finally ended up at the house of a friend of a friend at about 11:45. Just in time!
We of course, had to take a few silly girl pictures. Am I the only one who knows that New Years Eve is the best time to get glammed up and wear sequins and sparkles?? I am now determined to make next year's events at least 10 times better!
How was your new years?

found photo

Our one and only Halloween costume picture was just recently posted on Facebook so I thought I'd share. We went as the Blues Brothers to a friends party the weekend before Halloween. Then our real costume on Halloween was The Dude and Maude Lebowski. That costume was great, I wish my camera wouldn't have died!
