Shoe Love

Just about every pair of shoes I've purchased for myself in the last year has been brown (with the exception of one black and one gray pair). I feel like it is time to mix it up and add some color to my feet! Something like this...

Last week I scored a pair of those Seychelles on Ebay in the cream/white color. I haven't seen them in person yet, but I'm already dreaming about dying them an even more fun color. Anyone have any helpful tips on dyeing shoes??

I've been clog crazy for a while now and I've gotten a few pair (brown, of course) that I've worn with tights and dresses, but I can't wait for it to warm up to wear them with bare legs and socks! What are you guys looking forward to putting on your feet?

Come On, Cool Weather!

With all of the really nice cool, breezy weather we've been having here lately I've been wishing for fall more than ever! I've been in a style rut for a little bit now, just repeating outfits that I like. I'm out of summer stuff to wear, and I'm just ready to move on to fall clothes! Some things that I'm most excited to wear and need to hunt down are...

Some cute little granny-ish ankle boots. I've been searching for some for the last month or so now, maybe it's time to just buy some on etsy?

Some big, comfy, oversized sweaters. And after finding this one I want a mustard one too!

I want to find some big pretty scarves to wrap myself up in!

knee high socks! I have a couple pairs of nylon knee socks and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've tried to wear them, but they just look so silly! I love how they look on other girls, so maybe I'll try some from made a different material.

I really need some new jeans. I think I like black ones best. I also really want a cute tan hat. I've also been seeing cute hats like this one out and about recently and love the look. Hopefully I can pull it off!

A new (old) pair of oxfords. I wore mine almost to death last winter. It's about time for a new pair.

Pretty dresses like these. I'll hunt down some good ones and try to recreate some cuties like these.

I'd also love a pair of knee-high boots

And I hope to find a blazer that fits like a glove. AND has elbow pads!

lately a lot of the blogs i read have been talking about what they would wear on the trips they would love to take. some of them have been talking about going to music festivals. as much as i would loooove to get to go to bonnaroo or even lollapalooza i'll be far too poor to go. BUT i'll most definitely be going to Loufest here in st. louis at the end of august! it's a much smaller festival than the others, but it will be really neat to have something like that (that isn't warped tour) here in st. louis, and in forest park! PLUS she & him will be there!!!

so those are some of the things i'd love to wear to Loufest... plus some other things i really liked ( i wouldn't wear the polka dot or purple dress or those adorable t-strap heels to a hot outdoor event) i really liked the florals, that's something that will almost definitely be attending the concert with me. and the oxfords seem like a pretty practical choice for the event. the satchel style bag would be nice and easy and sunglasses are a must! i've really never been into wearing sunglasses, but i think i'm going to make myself start this summer. then of corse, plenty of she & him music!!
