I was so close to not going thrifting the other day, but boy am I glad I did! I found some great stripes, pleats, florals and plenty of polka dots! And some YSL shoes! Those were an unexpected find! 

I'll be adding a few pieces to the shop tomorrow. And I will also be back for something fun!

Lucky Finds!

I was really dreading working a Saturday at the mall in December yesterday. I knew I would be cleaning up after crazy, messy ridiculous shoppers all day and missing out on some "HUGE vintage sale" invite from my friend, Hannah. It turned out to be super slow at work and there was no merchandising work to be done, so I was just kind of wandering around the store until I was let go early. Just in time to meet up with friends and head out to that vintage sale! It must have been some kind of Christmas miracle! We got there with half an hour left to shop around!

I picked up a few dresses, an adorable ruffled slip, a cute beaded sweater and a few blouses. When I got home and started going through it I kind of wanted to keep it all for myself. It must have been the businesswoman in me (or maybe just the practical part of me) that knew I had to sell some of it! So, everything I've decided I can part with will be added to the shop this week!

I'm making it a New Year's resolution of mine to be a better blogger. I always enjoy blogging, I just never have the time, or when I do I don't know what to write about at the time. So, I'm making lists of topics and planning posts because I don't want to blog only to tell you about what I'm putting in my shop! Hopefully I'll be sharing some of my birthday pictures with you all this week!

Flea Market Finds!

Sunday, my friend Mary Kate and I got up bright and early and went to a flea market. It had been a while since I'd been to one, but we found some great stuff! I got the vintage Coke bottles. I love how tall and skinny they are! I plan to get some flowers to put in them after I clean them out. I also got some vintage keys that I want to make necklaces with. One of the last booths we stopped at had this 4 volume collection of YEAR books, so I snatched them up right away!

They're completely filled with tons of pictures. I can't wait to read them! Then I also picked out this album off of a table filled with free stuff. I'm not familiar with Norman Luboff, but if his music is as neat as his album art then perfect! I'll give him a listen!

Also, I've added a few new items to the shop and plan to add some more throughout the week. I hope you like them!!

i found this dress a couple of weeks ago and just let it sit around for a while before doing anything to it.

i finally got to shortening it, and now it's adorable! these really aren't the best pictures of it and you can't see them, but there are white buttons all down the back. all i need is something red to belt it and it would be complete. i think it may be my new favorite, although that will probably change in the next few days. i wore it to work the other day (with some less fancy shoes) and quickly realized it was probably way too fancy for standing around and refolding clothes at forever 21. oops!

also, last night i started making some fabric necklaces out of some vintage fabric, they look pretty cool. i think they'll look even better wearing a couple of them together when i have more of them made.

starting this blog has been kind of harder than i thought it would be. it has been tricky trying to figure out how to upload and arrange pictures (i'm still working on it) and even trickier trying to take my own outfit photos. soon enough i'll get the hang of it!
