I've been completely absent from the blogging world for the last week and a half! I've been busy, busy, busy.

Less than 2 weeks after getting hit by a car, Rickey managed to break his foot causing him to be out of work for over a month. All of that is causing us to move out of here and back home. All of this stuff really REALLY stinks! But hopefully it won't stink so much when we're saving so much money and able to go fun places and do fun things!

I just put our apartment up on Craigslist about 30 minutes ago and we've already got two people coming to look at it tomorrow! This is crazy!

Some good news--Maggie's Farm is going to have a booth at the River City Music Festival in Cape Girardeau! I'm so excited, but have SO much work to do! It is October 1st & 2nd, so it's right around the corner! I'm going to bring the whole shop plus at least double the amount I currently have and then a bunch of handmade items! I've been having so much fun thinking up ways to display everything!

With all of the preparation for the festival and the move (both only 2 weeks away. eeek!) I will probably continue to be mostly absent from the blogging world. But when I return expect pictures from the festival!!

Busy Bee

Thanks to my new found love of tomatoes, here is a yummy dinner I made for us the other night.

Fried tomato sandwiches.

With yellow and red tomatoes, cheese, spinach, bacon and jalapenos. So good!

Sorry for the lack of personal posts lately (well lack of posts in general, i guess). I have been such a busy bee, but not really in a good, productive way unfortunately. I have been working like crazy. And last week while riding his bike to work, Rickey got hit by a car! So, needless to say I lost my shop workday and day off to the hospital and taking care of him. He's doing fine though, so that's really good.

I've been coming up with ideas for the shop left and right, but haven't time to pursue many of them. That really stinks! I keep being afraid that I'll forget something I want to do, but luckily I've written everything down. Maybe if I share the things I need to work on it'll really get me going.

P.S. Some items I just added to the shop! It's been a while since I've added any new accessories. When thrifting I usually head right for the shoe section, then the dresses. By then I've probably already gathered more things than I should be spending money on and not even think to look in the jewelry cases. Last time I DID think to check it out and found some of these cuties that you can check out in the shop right now!

We're supposed to get the new season of The Office in at work today, so I think I'll be heading up there to get that! Do you guys have any fun plans for the day??

Come On, Cool Weather!

With all of the really nice cool, breezy weather we've been having here lately I've been wishing for fall more than ever! I've been in a style rut for a little bit now, just repeating outfits that I like. I'm out of summer stuff to wear, and I'm just ready to move on to fall clothes! Some things that I'm most excited to wear and need to hunt down are...

Some cute little granny-ish ankle boots. I've been searching for some for the last month or so now, maybe it's time to just buy some on etsy?

Some big, comfy, oversized sweaters. And after finding this one I want a mustard one too!

I want to find some big pretty scarves to wrap myself up in!

knee high socks! I have a couple pairs of nylon knee socks and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've tried to wear them, but they just look so silly! I love how they look on other girls, so maybe I'll try some from made a different material.

I really need some new jeans. I think I like black ones best. I also really want a cute tan hat. I've also been seeing cute hats like this one out and about recently and love the look. Hopefully I can pull it off!

A new (old) pair of oxfords. I wore mine almost to death last winter. It's about time for a new pair.

Pretty dresses like these. I'll hunt down some good ones and try to recreate some cuties like these.

I'd also love a pair of knee-high boots

And I hope to find a blazer that fits like a glove. AND has elbow pads!

Scratch That!

Scratch what I said last time about being unmotivated! Right after I posted that entry I guess I felt kind of obligated to work on some stuff. Maybe I just needed to get that out there and that was enough to get me out of my slump! Whatever the reason, I've been working on stuff like crazy and am very excited about it!
