 Just a little sneak peek of what has been/will be added to the shop throughout the week. I am just so antsy for Spring and that has been showing in my thrifting, so I hope you're all ready for it too!

I know I keep talking about taking more outfit pictures, but the cold just keeps convincing me otherwise. But Springtime will bring plenty of time spent outside with my boy and my camera, I'm excited!

Now Featuring...

I'm excited to introduce my newest blog feature--film fest! It will be a weekly feature that spotlights either a favorite movie, actor or director of mine. I hope to give you guys some good recommendations, as well as receive some. I'd love to hear about your favorites too!

Diana Fail.

I just picked up my first pictures taken with my new Diana Mini the other day. Unfortunately these are the only ones that turned out (very poorly, might I add) from 3 rolls of film! I guess it's a fail on my part though, they were all in dim lighting and probably on the wrong setting. I'll have to do more research on my camera and try again, but for now here's my first attempt.

 

I'm off to take some new shop photos now, so expect to see some new stuff in the next day or so! As well as my quickly fading strawberry blonde hair!

Warm Weather Wishes

I think I've been ready for warm weather's arrival since right after Christmas. I am just about the biggest wimp there is when it comes to the cold! I can't wait for it to start warming up and for the sun to come out more often. I'm ready to live in light, flowy floral sundresses and wear plenty of wedges and clogs. This year I kind of want to get a high waisted two piece swimsuit. I am really looking forward to spending a bunch of time outdoors, instead of hiding away inside from the cold. And then there's also swimming... Oh man, I am SO ready!

P.S. I need to formally debut my new ginger locks with you all as well as actually follow through with my goal of taking more pictures. So, hopefully I'll find some daylight time to do that in the next few days!

2011 Goals

2011 is going to be a good year, full of progress and growing up! I was debating over making a '21 before 22 list' or some new year's resolutions, but thought a list of goals for the whole year would be best. So here they are...

-Take more pictures. I know I always talk about this, but it's something I NEED to do. I will start carrying my camera around with me all the time. I just always feel so weird going outdoors with my camera and tripod to pose all by myself, but I need to man up and just do it already!

-Go back to school--it starts Tuesday!

-Reach 200 sales--I hit 100 sales before my shop's 1st birthday, so hopefully this won't be too though.

-Start saving money for fun trips, and hopefully a down payment on a house?

-Get better at sewing, not just altering, but sewing from scratch

-Go on a fun vacation--hiking in Georgia and then heading down to Florida with Rickey's family!

-Move (back) out is something I am SO anxious to do. I loved having my own space, now I have to cram a whole apartment's worth of stuff into my tiny bedroom and storage area

-Improve my blog--I have a bunch of features that I want to add I just need to start making the time for it.

-Read more is another thing I need to make more time for. I have so many books waiting to be read, but no time to do it.

-Get another tattoo--it's been too long since my last one and I've really been itching for another lately

happy birthday!!

Happy birthday to my boyfriend, Rickey. As you can probably tell he certainly did have a happy birthday! He turned 21 last week, but since not everyone in our group was 21 we headed out to the sketchiest bar we knew and had some fun there. Super cheap drink specials, karaoke and strange bar regulars definitely made for an interesting night! After a little bit everyone started getting pretty messy, but really, how couldn't you with $2 pitchers? The last picture is my favorite--a nice action shot of Will pouring that beer all over himself while John is trying to get it back!

Shop Preview

I am excited about a MUCH needed shop update. As older listings are expiring my shop is slowly dwindling down. I need to turn things around before it becomes a ghost town! Today and tomorrow I will be adding these lovely dresses all of which were modeled by my awesome friend, Lindsey.
