The Girl Next Door was my gateway movie to all good movies. I had always enjoyed watching movies, but was never passionate about them until around this time. My best friend and I watched it all those years ago and fell in love with Emile Hirsch. After that we wanted more Emile, so we watched ALL of his movies. Everything that he had been in up until then (and everything since). If it weren't for Emile I probably would never have also fallen in love with Kieran Culkin or found out that even though Jenna Malone can be kind of annoying sometimes she's in SO many great movies! Following Emile Hirsch's career has led me to so many great places, movie-wise, and I wonder what I would be watching today if it weren't for that bored Summer day when we decided we'd watch The Girl Next Door.

i'm not a movie watcher but when i use to live alone and i did not have tv i used to watch all kinds of great movies, like the bjork movie and what not.
Ahh Emile Hirsch! I've been obsessed with him for years! I saw him and Paul Dano in a movie called "The Emperor's Club" when I was like 13, and fell in love with him, and flipped when I saw they were acting together again in this. And then they were in Taking Woodstock, too! So awesome.
And I'm also a Culkin obsessor! I saw Scream 4 just for his brother Rory, and Jena is super awesome - love her in 'Life As A House' (the movie kind of sucks but I love it anyways haha). I wish we lived in the same state so we could hang out and watch all the awesome movies these people are in!
Yes! That would be so perfect to watch all of these (and more!) together!
I think that The Emperor's Club was the one Emile movie that I haven't liked. And I don't remember exactly why, just that I didn't like it enough to even finish it. Kieran and Rory are definitely my favorite Culkin's. I also saw Scream 4, in part for Rory, but mostly because I love the Scream movies so much! So awesome! I actually have a friend who also loves the Culkins and works for Threadless and she got an order from Rory! She sent me a picture of his order info -- I know where he lives!!
OMG haha I want to stalk Rory now! Jk...sort of... but you should join tumblr - we have a whole online community that are creepishly obsessed with the Culkins!
